Who we are
Pizza Communications LLC is a small Mississippi-based company building tools that help people find great independent pizzerias. Our flagship product, PizzaExplorer, is a free global map of pizzerias with live video, ratings, and discovery features. We also produce PizzaTV, a streaming channel covering the pizza world.
What our bot does
PizzaCommunicationsBot visits a small number of pizzeria-related web pages to collect publicly visible menu information — specifically, the names and prices of standard cheese pizzas, available sizes, and crust styles. We use this data internally to compute a “Fill-Up Power” score that helps users find good food-per-dollar value when browsing the map.
We do not republish menus, display prices, scrape reviews or photos, or compete with the sites we visit. The scraped data is used only as input to a derived score shown alongside our own listings.
How we behave
- Rate. At most one request every 8 seconds to any single site.
- Frequency. Each pizzeria’s menu is checked at most once every 90 days.
- Caching. We cache responses for 30 days so we never re-fetch unnecessarily.
- Identification. Every request carries the user-agent shown above.
- Robots.txt. We respect standard
robots.txtdirectives. - No authentication. We only access publicly available pages — never anything behind a login, API key, or paywall.
How to block us
If you’d prefer we didn’t visit your site, add this to your robots.txt:

Disallow: /We’ll honour that on our next visit, which may be up to 30 days out because of our cache. If you want data we’ve already collected removed immediately, email us at the address below and we’ll process it the same business day.
